This is the general manner many TV news anchors begin the news, giving us the latest news and important information and facts to the viewers happening around the world. Electronic media is considered as media for masses. A dormant volcano erupted with the television emergence. The way of new invention established the concept of media on the floor of mass media in the field of mass communication and communication skills. Media consumption captivates long hours each day in the lives of typical Indian.

Although many technologies reflect negative effect but televisions have lot of positive potential for them. While in many cities television see things as threats to indigenous cultural survival and tools of cultural imperialism. Television allowing people to reassert them on the global stage and have their voices heard rather than viewing these as uncomfortable imposition from outside.

In one hand media is playing a very effective role in our life to inform, entertain, educate, and to promote ideas, culture and values as per the temperament of its own. But the reality is absurd. Many of us follow the news from different sources of media, mainly through TV news channels, Internet, magazine and news papers, most effective news media nowadays proven to be television which is a electronic media, but what degree of trust can we have on these channels? We watched news on Rahul Mahajan’s drug act, Amir’s movie "fanaa" ban and parliament leader’s bribery act.

For instance news channels are following rahul mahajan drug catch drama all over news channels in India, giving us all the possible information I guess more than what the viewers requires. The act of media is clearly visible in the Rahul Mahajan's (Son of renowned politician Late Pramod Mahajan) case of drug addiction. A person who is consuming drugs, having drug more than 5 grams must be under trial, what new in this whole episode, perhaps the involved fellow was from a politician family. We should not give too ,much stress on such stories which glorifies the person or act or annoying the audiences along with society. The society wants spice and so they provide the story.

A while ago the whole of India became a witness to one of the most horrifying scenes of a man attempting self immolation. The garlanded man who stood amidst a huge crowd, television cameras, media persons and policemen was not stopped by anyone before he alighted himself after sprinkling kerosene oil on the body. Suddenly bedlam broke lose when the man called Gopal Krishan Kashyap was engulfed by flames. People who had ‘not expected' the fire to cause so much of damage and that too so suddenly were however prepared with their blankets but by the time they had put off the fire the damage was done. Kashyap was admitted to the hospital with more than 80 per cent burns and eventually he succumbed to his injuries. The whole incident though has raised some questions which need to be answered. One of them is why the cameras covered the incident? But was it ethical to show such scenes continuously in news channels? A chill ran down the spine when one looked at those clippings. Even a matured person would have been taken aback after visualizing the whole episode then think of the children who were watching the news.

There was this poor guy amir who for a good cause went along with protesters of Narmada dam, intends he was trapped in the clenches of state ruling party for helping the poor ones. Due to this subject Gujarat govt had banned screening amir’s movie “Fanaa” such a news was important and necessary for the viewers, after all the news was about India's top celebrity. But the news channels gone beyond the issue, eventually troubling the film producers and Amir. I wonder does TV channels have shown the incident because it was an important issue or to have something sensational news for their viewers?.

I believe the truth is just to have some exciting on their programme list rather than importance of the issue. Making an general issue in to more sensational of what it was is a pure marketing tactics by all media channels just to attract the viewers and have more audience, questioning the sincerity of the electronic media is what really matters to the viewers. What purpose is Media for, a social cause? or to create unnecessary sensation and cook up stories just for few more money.

Well I am not an anti American but this cartoon clip is cool and gives you insight about USA. Many Americans would not accept the feature from the clip, but interesting to know. I have been following “Michel Moore’s” videos and films for long time I believe there would be some truth for his actions. The documentary film “Fahrenheit heat 9-11” was really impressive and worth watching, the feature shows the cause of the attack on twin towers and also the political involvement with the Middle East, but for now enjoy the clip...

HIV infected

Great news for Indians to be ashamed off, according to Reuter’s information India stands top on the list with most HIV infected individuals nearly 5.7 million. The second place is taken by South Africans with approx 5 million HIV infected individuals. It is sad to hear being an Indian and most concerns me is what happened to NGO's and govt authorities who are on controlling HIV infections and conducting awareness to the public? India is an emerging economy with huge potential of skilled labor force which is seen as a major economic power around the world. This is one such incident that India still lags control over itself, what puts India at this juncture is it govt polices? or is it the public? Aren’t we bothered about ourselves and our country? India is rich of intellectuals, culture and traditions what makes us to stand back is our integrity. The current Indian growth story is attained by itself but not with any so called “great leaders”. We have many obstacles further to overcome ahead we have to wipe up our bureaucratic govt, our mistakes in our society (eg: dowry) and finally bring in hope and unity among us.
